Educational Objectives:

Upon Completion of this Health Management Session, Participants Should Be Able To:

• Develop a better understanding for how the likely approval of new MS therapies—including both oral and injectable agents—may change the risk-to-benefit analyses and influence long-term treatment decisions for MS treatment regimens implemented in the managed care setting
  
• Understand, analyze, and project the clinical risks and benefits of emerging agents under evaluation for MS, and how managed care physicians and medical directors will need to evaluate such therapies for their managed care programs
  
• Implement and understand the requirements for pharmacovigilance programs that are currently in place for MS therapies, and how pharmacoviligance programs for MS therapies used in managed care settings will need to adapt and change when potentially new, immunosuppressive therapies with a variable range of adverse effects and toxicities become available
  
• Develop an understanding for how managed care physicians will assess current and established therapies in order to determine how therapy for MS should be initiated, monitored, and achieve the ideal balance between safety and efficacy for long-term therapy of MS
  
  

Hardware and Software Requirements:

To participate in this program, viewers must have a PC or Macintosh computer that has active, ongoing internet access for the duration of the program, as well as a compatible Flash-viewer. An email address is required for registration, and a printer is required to printout the CME certificate.
