This program is designed for all practitioners with the following specialties
or subspecialties: Primary Care, Cardiologists, Hypertension Specialists,
Internists with Cardiology Specialty Focus, Preventive Medicine Specialists,
and Endocrinologists.

Enrollment for this HealthWRAP is complimentary, and clinicians are
invited to participate in this CME-certified HealthWRAPs and/or share
this invitation with other colleagues, departmental staff members, and
healthcare professionals.

Faculty Disclosures:
Dr. Weber provides speaking and consulting services for Boehringer-Ingelheim,
Novartis, BMS, Pfizer, Merck, sanofi-aventis, Daiichi-Sankyo, and Forest.
Educational Objectives:
- Practitioners will learn how to approach hypertension as a systematic
disease, with multiple manifestations, and associations, including
assessment of coexisting conditions that support use of specific classes
or agents.
- Practitioners will learn about the complications linked to healthcare
disparities observed in specific patient populations, and the importance
of providing access, treatment, and monitoring of patients with multiple
risk CV risk factors.
- Practitioners will learn how to manage complicated patients with
high blood pressure, including those with ischemic heart disease and/or
heart failure.
- Practitioners will learn the importance of early treatment of patients
with high blood pressure, markers to look for, and the importance of
treating both systolic and diastolic blood pressure abnormalities.
- Practitioners specialists will learn how to apply evidence-based
and guideline-consistent management of hypertension to specific patient
subgroups. Current clinical studies and trials will be reviewed and
discussed in detail.
- Practitioners will learn about the safety profiles of antihypertensive
agents across multiple patient risk groups.
