or subspecialties: anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthestists,
gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, surgeons, hospital pharmacists,
ambulatory surgery center directors, and related clinicians

Educational Objectives:
Physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers will:
- Learn how to administer safe and effective mild to moderate sedation
in patients undergoing colonoscopy, flexible fiberoptic pulmonoscopy,
and minor surgical procedures
- Learn how new agents with unique pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic
profiles can be used to optimize patient care in the setting of colonoscopy,
flexible fiberoptic pulmonoscopy, and minor surgical procedures
- Learn how to incorporate national guidelines for endoscopic procedures
into clinical practice to improve safety, comfort, and quality of care
for patients undergoing minimal to moderate sedation.
