Educational Objectives:
Participants in this CME-certified WebCAST will:
- Learn to stratify patients
at risk for osteoporosis and/or related complications and identify
optimal therapeutic approaches.
- Learn to undertake a systematic evaluation
of patients at risk for osteoporosis, including radiological examination
and appropriate laboratory markers.
- Learn evidence-based approaches
to reducing progression of osteoporosis, and reducing risk of fracture
complications.
- Learn how to select safe and effective pharmacotherapy
for prevention and treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
- Learn how
landmark trials and analyses focusing on BMD, bisphosphonate therapy,
predictive risk, and fracture reduction should guide clinical management
of patients with osteoporosis.
